One-on-One College Application Essay Coaching
Peer2Peer College Prep
We will help your aspiring scholar tell a compelling, meaningful and inspiring story that makes him or her stand out from the crowd.
Your student’s unique story
High school juniors and seniors will receive the support and mentorship they need to succeed in the most challenging part of their college application process: the Common Application Personal Statement essay.
A valid process
Using our proprietary methodology, we will help craft a unique and captivating essay that will impress admissions officers and distinguish your student. The result is the foundation for supplemental essays, honors program applications and even scholarship essays. The work will benefit your student for many years to come - to grad school and beyond!
A science-based method
Most people - and this is especially true of teenagers - have difficulty articulating what is important to them, what motivates them, and what makes them unique. Our methodology is based on tools used in the social sciences and behavioral psychology. We will uncover these with your student and empower them to craft a meaningful, successful essay.
A peer-based approach
Your student will be assigned a credentialed Peer Advisor who will take him/her through the entire process. In addition, a Moderator will oversee the work and review the final essay drafts.
Essay building blocks
Our methodology results in foundational elements that are the basis for the Common Application essay. In addition, these elements serve as the building blocks for many other writing tasks, including supplemental essays, honors program applications, and even scholarship application essays. Your student will be empowered with the self-knowledge that will serve them for many years in the future - college, grad school and beyond.
Success stories
“This workshop has greatly benefitted me by allowing me to discover new perspectives and objectives in my writing. Being able to collaborate with my peers allowed me to identify weak points in my application, and helped me develop valuable thoughts and ideas. Not only was I able to use these skills in my Common App and other essays, I was also able to use them in my everyday life. Learning the importance of understanding one’s own strengths/weaknesses greatly benefited me. With this, I was able to construct an impressive college application, as well as a resume. I will forever be grateful for the incredible life skills I’ve learned during this workshop!” ~ Mounika T., University of Texas
“I found Peer2Peer to be incredibly supportive and encouraging regarding my college goals. Crystal went above and beyond, offering all the resources needed for crafting my essays, college list, activities list, and more. Her feedback was both constructive and balanced, highlighting the strengths and areas for improvement in my writing. If you're seeking genuine, professional feedback on your work, I highly recommend Crystal.” ~ Alex M., UCLA

Origins
As my children entered high school, I began to think about their college applications. I soon realized how complex and challenging things are today, especially compared to how things were when I was their age. When it came to the essays, I gathered my daughters and their friends in our sunroom and, using the same qualitative marketing research methods I employ in my profession, took a dozen kids through a journey of personal exploration into the underlying values that drive their decision-making, an assessment of their natural talents and acquired skills, and a look their unique life experiences.
“My three daughters attend Brown, Cornell, and The University of Chicago. Their essays were outstanding. Just as I helped my daughters, I can help your aspiring scholar tell a compelling, meaningful and inspiring story that makes him or her stand out from the crowd.” ~ Duncan Millar, Co-Founder, Peer2Peer College Prep
